  1. What can you find in this package?

  3. - XGTool
  4.  
  5.   This is the XG editor/librarian program file
  6.  
  7. - tools/MIDI In.pch   tools/MIDI Out.pch
  8.  
  9.   Patches for Bars&Pipes' Midi In and Midi Out tool.
  10.   With this you can permanently enable the reception
  11.   and transmission of System Exclusive messages. You
  12.   don't have to turn them on on every channel each
  13.   time you load B&P (which is very annoying).
  14.   See the instructions in tools/README for patching.

  16. - c/spatch

  18.   This is the patching utility for the above patches.
  19.  
  20. - libs/
  21.  
  22.   This directory contains midi.library. It is just for
  23.   those who don't have any midi library, yet, so they
  24.   can try XGTool, too. Don't forget to set the
  25.   XGTOOLOUT environment variable to MIDI with
  26.         setenv XGTOOLOUT MIDI
  27.   since by default XGTool tries to use
  28.   blueribbon.library!

  30. - libs/mui/Lamp

  32.   This is the Lamp class used by XGTool. See the
  33.   doc/Lamp_mcc.copyright file for how to obtain new
  34.   versions of the class!

  38.   A midifile and its XGE settings file. The latter can
  39.   be loaded into XGTool. The original song is by Amy
  40.   Grant, but I'm not sure. It is only for testing.
  41.   I made it in 30 minutes or so, therefore don't
  42.   expect pro quality although it sounds quite good
  43.   if you send out the settings prior to playing.
